Moira Dedrick


Moira was born in a small village in Quebec, later moved to Ontario, and now divides her time between Toronto and the Turks and Caicos Islands. She studied anthropology at the University of Toronto. She began her exploration of painting at the Haliburton School of the Arts with John Joy, and with Greg Hindle at the Ontario College of Art and Design and privately in landscape and portraiture. Since 2004 she has studied figure painting and drawing at Studio Escalier in Argenton Les Valléeand Paris, France with Timothy Stotz and Michelle Tully, both long-time students of Ted Seth Jacobs. Moira is a member of the The Portrait Society of Canada and The Portrait Society of America, been in the juried shows at the McMichael Gallery in Kleinburg,at the Dufferin County Museum, the Steam Whistle Gallery, The Art Gallery on Toro in Toronto, the Portrait Society of Canada shows and is represented by Paradise Arts in Providenciales, TCI. Her paintings and portraits hang in many Inns and private collections in Ontario and Quebec, and in the Turks and Caicos Is .
