The Portrait Society of Canada is a professional organization formed to foster and enhance an understanding of practice and techniques of Fine Art Portraiture and Sculpture.
The Portrait Society was founded in 2001 by a group of professional Portrait Artists in Toronto with the purpose of educating and communicating with the public on the traditions of Fine Art Portraiture and Sculpture.
The Society provides membership for Canadian and International Portrait Artists, Sculptors, and the general public.
All eligible artists dedicated to Fine Art Portraiture, Sculpture, and Digital Portraiture may apply to become members of the Portrait Society of Canada.
Since its founding, the Society has actively supported artists by promoting their work, attracting commissions, and showcasing contemporary portraiture through exhibitions, competitions, and commissions.
Each member will have access to an individual page exhibiting their work on the Society’s website.
